The Rose Pest Solutions’ Family Grows Following the Acquisition of Cobb’s Pest Control

Rose Pest Solutions, the nation’s oldest pest management company, recently acquired Traverse City-based Cobb’s Pest Control, adding its quality and industry-leading pest management services to Cobb’s existing offerings. This acquisition comes as Rose further expands its presence throughout the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. 

Being family-owned and operated for 162 years, the acquisition of Cobb’s was the perfect fit for Rose, with both companies being family-owned and operated while also having a long history of providing exceptional service to clients. 

Founded in 1860, Rose Pest Solutions came under the ownership of Harlem Ives in 1932 and has spent the last 90 years under the ownership of the Ives family. The fourth generation of Ives are currently employed at Rose Pest Solutions: Jim Ives, president; Jeff Ives, director of operations and technology; Case Ives, director of human resources; and Kimberly (Ives) Rodriguez, corporate counsel. Each plan to carry on the traditions that have kept Rose Pest Solutions at the forefront of industry trends to make them one of the Midwest’s leading, most respected pest management companies.

Rose Pest Solutions will be providing service to current Cobb’s Pest Control clients who reside in the Traverse City service area. Each existing client will be given the option to receive the same quality residential pest management service previously provided by Cobb’s with the addition of new services offered by Rose such as its canine division of bed bug scent detection teams. 

In 2021, Rose Pest Solutions acquired Traverse City-based Collier’s Pest Control, strengthening its presence in the region as the company continues to grow in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. 

The pest control company is looking to fill multiple recession-proof positions, including account managers, client service representatives and service technicians, with each receiving a comprehensive benefits package consisting of paid time off, dental, dependent care, life, medical and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, profit-sharing and more.
