What is a Beetle?
Beetles are insects that have two sets of wing, bad vision and can be both helpful and harmful to the environments. There are several thousand beetle species in the United States and while they are from the same order they differ in color and size. Ground Beetles, Powder Post Beetles and Longhorn Beetles are commonly found in our service area.
Why do I have them?
Beetles often invade homes and buildings when those properties offer conditions they are attracted to including leaf piles, rotting wood, old lumber, firewood piles and are often drawn to bright light around doors and windows.
Are they dangerous?
Beetles are considered a nuisance pest because of their propensity to invade homes. Many species of beetles, like the Powder Post Beetle, can cause severe damage to anything made of wood including furniture and structures made of wood.
How do you get rid of Beetles?
Beetles are difficult to get rid of and many conditions around a property invite these pests. Contacting Rose Pest Solutions at the first sign of a beetle infestation is the best way to eliminate beetles effectively.
Can I do it myself?
Due to the complicated treatment process and the amount of time required to perform these treatments, beetles are typically not a pest many homeowners have much success eradicating.
