Are You Anxious About Bed Bugs?

Bed bugs are small, flat nocturnal insects that were a common problem in the US during the 1960s and then appeared to enter into a long period of dormancy. In recent years, bed bugs have enjoyed an alarming resurgence and are becoming a serious pest problem for homes and businesses in Detroit, Cincinnati, ColumbusCleveland and other large and small cities and towns across the country. Bed bugs are infesting:

  • Homes

  • Apartment Complexes

  • Condos & Townhouses

  • Hospitals and Health Care Facilities

  • Hotels

  • Theaters

  • Other Commercial Facilities

Often introduced on luggage, used clothing and furniture as well as on visitors who were recently exposed to a bed bug infestation, bed bugs can be found in a variety of places, including:

  • On bedding

  • Inside mattresses and box springs and along the seams

  • In the cracks, crevices and upholstery of furniture

  • Behind electrical outlets and light switches

  • Between flooring and under carpeting

At Rose Pest Solutions, we understand how stressful it can be for property owners who are dealing with bed bug infestations and that is why we offer bed bug treatments in Michigan, Ohio and the entire Rose service area.

Signs Of Bed Bug Activity

Not sure if you have a bed bug problem?  Although they are small parasitic insects, bed bugs can be seen by the naked eye and can be identified by the appearance of small brownish or reddish dots on bedding, mattresses and furniture. These are bed bug droppings and blood spots from their feeding. Heavy infestations may result in an odor described as “buggy” or sweet. Bed bug bites usually produce mild or no reaction in most people but may leave behind red, itchy welts. Bed bugs feed on any bare skin exposed while sleeping (face, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, etc.). While they prefer humans, bed bugs may also feed on your cats, dogs, birds or other warm-blooded pests.

Bed Bug Treatments From Rose

Do-it-yourself bed bug treatments are not usually effective and without the assistance of a professional bed bug exterminator can become a major infestation. This is because bed bugs are so tiny it is easy to miss them and for severe infestations it is practically impossible to find and kill the entire bed bug population unless you are trained pest control professional. At Rose Pest Solutions, our bed bug services include a thorough inspection to determine where and how severe the bed bug infestation is and from there we develop a customized treatment that will get rid of bed bug activity. For optimal results we employ a combination of bed bug treatments, including:

  • Manual

  • Heat

  • Fumigation

Our proven and effective bed bug heat treatments, control methods and detailed follow up care ensure your bed bug problems are eliminated. Rose Pest Solutions offers bed bug pest control for homes and businesses in our region, including in Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit and Troy as well as throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania.  We also offer property owners early bed bug detection with our Canine Bed Bug Inspections.

"I just wanted to take a moment out of my day to compliment you on one of your employees.

Jennifer M. from inspection to extermination was extremely polite and helpful. She even returned calls and made calls to us outside of her normal work hours to ease our minds. To say the least this whole bed bug experience was incredibly stressful for both my wife and I, but, Jennifer was a big contributing factor in making it bearable.

I just wanted to let you know about a great employee you have who is deserving of recognition. We will be telling all our friends who may have any similar problems to contact Jennifer with their needs and have actually already done so with one friend. Enjoy your weekend!
